That 928 is awesome, and literally the worst possible idea. Are you familiar with the frame on that car?

A very, very, very, very fragile (aluminum?) unibody. The slightest accident (hit a curb hard, light pole, basically anything) will bend the entire unibody, and they are impossible to re-straighten. The car will never be the same after that.

THESE ARE ALL TERRIBLE CHOICES AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED FOR SUGGESTING THEM

He will take you seriously as he is very much intent on making his 944 dreams happen. Don't be sarcastic, be realistic. For anyone who thinks this post is serious, it isn't.

1) Rotaries suck at starting reliably in cold weather. And then they run like shit for a long time while they warm up in low temperatures. Oh and good luck going up any inclines until you put lots of weight in the trunk. Which then ruins any fuel economy you had. Overall, RX-7 is one of the worst winter cars in existence.

2) Porsche 928......wow.......could you get a more unreliable porsche? I don't think so. Again - don't get a "beater" that is more unreliable than your project. That is an absolute nightmare of a maintenance bitch so no....nononononononononononono.

3) Monza. If I have to explain why this is almost worse than the RX-7 to you, then please reasearch the monza and come back. Terrible chassis, terrible engines, terrible interiors, they make the cavalier look almost decent.

I would go with the RX7. Why? I always thought they were cool DD's. As for winter beater, I dont know, I live in the south, so a winter beater, is just your beater. Also a buddy of mine had one in highschool with a straight pipe, would shoot flames and you could hear it 3.5 miles away.
